Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy is maintained by the owner of Eesiest to explain what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It covers the Eesiest web app at eesiest.com and the official Eesiest browser extension ("Quick Capture").
This page describes our current practices and is not a certification or independent audit.
Who we are
Eesiest is operated by an individual developer based in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. For any privacy question or request, contact xiyue.rene@qq.com.
What we collect
Account data
When you sign up we store your email address and an authentication identifier. If you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we receive the basic profile information that provider returns (email, name where available).
Content you create
Captures, tasks, projects, due dates, and any notes you write are stored in your account so we can show them back to you across devices and the extension.
Browser extension
The Eesiest Quick Capture extension stores a local session token in the browser's extension storage so it can talk to your account. When you open the extension on a page, it may read the active tab's URL and title so it can pre-fill a capture (for example, "Read this article — example.com/post"). The extension does not read page content, form inputs, or browsing history, and it does not run on pages where you have not opened it.
URLs and titles are only sent to Eesiest if you choose to save the capture. Closing the extension without saving discards them.
Connected integrations (Google Calendar & Notion)
If you connect Google Calendar or Notion from Settings → Integrations, we store OAuth access and refresh tokens for those accounts so we can sync on your behalf. Tokens are kept in our database, scoped to your user, and are only used to read and write the resources you choose (a specific calendar, a specific Notion database, or a chosen capture page). For each synced item we also store a small mapping (your local task id ↔ the remote event/row id) so two-way sync can stay consistent. You can disconnect at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored tokens.
Voice dictation & AI command parsing
If you use voice dictation or AI command mode (Pro features), your audio or text command is sent to the Lovable AI Gateway to be transcribed or parsed into a structured task. We do not retain the raw audio after transcription, and neither we nor the gateway use your content to train models.
Payments
If you upgrade to Eesiest Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your payment details directly — we never see or store card numbers. We store the resulting subscription status (active, canceled, plan, renewal date) so we can grant access.
Operational data
Our hosting and backend providers automatically log basic request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use your data
- Provide the core capture, reminder, and sync features.
- Send transactional emails — sign-in links, due-task reminders, account changes, and purchase confirmations.
- Process subscription payments and provide customer support.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your captures to train AI models.
Who we share data with
We rely on a small set of service providers to run Eesiest:
- Lovable Cloud (backend hosting, database, authentication, email delivery).
- Lovable AI Gateway — voice transcription and AI command parsing when you use those features.
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
- Google — only if you sign in with Google or connect Google Calendar; we exchange tokens and read/write the calendar you choose.
- Notion — only if you connect Notion; we read/write the database and capture page you choose.
- Mozilla / Chromium browser stores — only if you install the extension through them; we do not share data with them beyond what their stores require.
Each provider acts as a data processor on our behalf and has its own privacy terms.
Where data is stored
Account and capture data is stored in managed cloud infrastructure provided by Lovable Cloud. Data may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your own; we rely on our providers' standard safeguards for international transfers.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account data while your account is active. Captures you delete are removed from active storage and purged from backups in the normal backup-rotation window. To delete your account entirely, email xiyue.rene@qq.com from your account email and we will remove your account and its data, except where we are required to retain limited records (e.g. payment receipts).
Your choices
- Update or delete captures from inside the app at any time.
- Connect or disconnect Google Calendar and Notion from Settings → Integrations. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens and stops further sync.
- Sign out of the extension from its popup to clear its stored token.
- Unsubscribe from non-essential emails via the link in any email or the unsubscribe page.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing us.
Children
Eesiest is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify signed-in users by email.
